To maintain certification, candidates must complete 60 hours of continuing education.   Many courses in a surgical technology program focus on actual  operating room procedures; however, students also learn through lab studies include internships in hospital operating rooms. For example Patient care techniques, or Anatomy & physiology.

Salary:  $45,287

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

I Think I would not like to be one, because I’m a person who is very bad when they see blood, is like a phobia or something, and in real thing “or on the surgery” it would be bad to the assistant to get on the floor.
