Columbus Day

Explorer and navigator Christopher Columbus was born in 1451 in the Republic of Genoa, Italy. His first voyage in the Atlantic Ocean in 1476  nearly cost him his life. Columbus participated in several other expeditions to Africa. 1492  Columbus left Spain in the Santa Maria , with the Pinta and the Niña along side. He has been credited for opening up the Americas to European colonization.  The exchange also brought new diseases to both hemispheres, though the effects were greatest in the Americas .Christopher Columbus died at 20 May 1506 (aged c.54) in Validation , Spain.

Columbus day is a national holiday in many countries in the Americas and elsewhere which officially celebrates the  anniversary of Christopher Columbus’ arrival in and the discovery of the American Continent on October 12 1492.

Reflection: I think that Christopher , was a great and strong person , because he visit and were at 4 differents travels   I feel that he  do his best at travel to some kind of different places. The countries that he go was *Palos de la Frontera *, the second was to Canary Island  . the third was Sanlucar, Spain, and the   fourth was  Bank of Saint George
